Boy did we need this weekend to come. It now looks like plans for London are off and its been an emotional roller coaster of a week to say the least and I'm ready to get off. Tucker and I are headed to dinner at Asana at the Mandarin for some much needed quality time together tonight. Other than the MS Walk Sunday things should be pretty low key which suits us well considering we're gone every weekend in April - Bermuda one week from today!

Savoring
Back to the Monday grind - luckily we had a great weekend in between! Friday night we headed out to Red Bones for dinner with Eric and Marley. It's looking like the two of them will be Vanderbilt bound this summer for business school so we're trying to pack in some quality time while we can! Saturday we headed to Roslindale to meet another addition to the group - Evan Henry Adams! Congrats again to Ian and Emily...
Since my mom's birthday was March 18th and mine is coming up next week we figured a joint birthday dinner made the most sense given everyone's schedules. We wanted Ben to be there so we decided on Five Napkin Burger (at 5:45 pm of course) - as you can see Ben enjoyed the atmosphere as well as a matching outfit with Pops.
Post dinner we celebrated Sean's 34th birthday at the Junction - ended up being a little crazier than we anticipated so we made a delicious breakfast Sunday to ease into the day - chive waffles with salsa and fried eggs - delicious!
We are definitely trying to savor all of these moments with friends...we recently found out we are most likely being relocated to London come August 1st for a year. I definitely have mixed emotions - I think it will be a wonderful opportunity for Tucker and an adventure for us as a newly married couple but I'm also sad to leave the amazing group of friends and family we've been blessed enough to meet. If the move does happen this blog will become even more important to keep everyone up to date on our life - wish us luck!

luck of the irish
Happy belated Saint Patrick's Day! What a perfect weekend for all of the festivities - yesterday was 70 and sunny! The weekend started off with a bridal shower for the beautiful bride to be Lizzy P - it was at the Hampshire House and was absolutely perfect: fun and intimate. Sadly I don't have any pictures from the event but hoping to get some soon. Saturday night due to a late start we couldn't get in anywhere in Southie to celebrate so we ended up at Pan Asia - nothing says I'm Irish like a scorpion bowl.
Sunday we had a few people over for make your own bloody marys and then headed to Wes' apartment for a parade party - this guy certainly had a good time!
Hope everyone had a fantastic and lucky Saint Patrick's Day weekend!

honeymooners
Happy Friday! We kicked off the weekend a little early by heading to dinner at Sonsie with our honeymoon friends Alex and Amanda. Our original plan was to check out 5 Napkin Burger but the power outage in the Pru hasn't been fully dealt with yet. The exciting news of the night is that Alex and Amanda are expecting a little one in September - quick work by those two - we're so happy for them!

saw doctors and the aquarium
I wish every weekend were as balanced as this last one! We started things off right Friday for Howard's birthday. His mom was able to rent out part of the Foundation Room and score us great tickets to the Saw Doctor's show at the House of Blues - happy birthday Howard!
It was our first Saw Doctor's show and I'd definitely go again - such a great night! Saturday we slept in and then drove down to Mystic for the night with Kate, Joey and Ben. We had an early bird special dinner at Captain Daniel Packer Inne Restaurant and then Kate took Ben home to bed while the rest of us grabbed a few drinks at the Ancient Mariner. Despite an early bed time the lively radiator in our hotel room kept us up most of the night but our early morning wake up call for the Mystic Aquarium was worth it. Ben LOVED it.
After a few hours at the Aquarium we headed to West Hartford to celebrate Kieran's baptism. I wish I had gotten a picture of all of the kids but they were running in too many directions! Sunday was capped off with a walk around Castle Island to take advantage of longer days and warmer nights - unfortunately now we're back to the grind! Hope everyone else enjoyed their weekend!

bridal showers and drag queens
Tucker and I had a nice and relaxing dinner at home Friday night which was necessary after such a crazy week! I drove down to Rhode Island Saturday morning to celebrate Cara's bridal shower - Cara and Collin also met playing kickball and live up the street so their wedding is extra special to us! Cara handled the attention like a champ and we all headed back up to Boston for her drag queen filled bachelorette party at Jacques - SUCH a hilarious night - most pictures aren't fit to share but this one should at least give you a taste...
Sunday was also relaxing thank goodness because between my bachelorette party evening and Tucker's bowling/darts/poker night at home we were both exhausted. After brunch with Tuck and Carol at Tremont 647 (maybe we need to branch out!) we collapsed on the couch for the afternoon - hoping this weekend is a little less crazy!
